Everyday, there are some new friends follow me on Twitter, and meanwhile, there are some old friends unfollow me. This situation is usual and understood, since I never think that everybody in the world will like me.
Now the question is How Do I Know When I Am Unfollowed? Or How Do I Know Who Unfollows Me? Well, they are some answers to these questions, but I think below 10 should be the easiest and FREE ways for you to find out when you are unfollowed by your followers.
1. Nutshell Mail
You sign in Nutshell Mail with Twitter OAuth, add and confirm your email address, then you can receive alerts when you are unfollowed by someone via email. Besides, you can also received your replies, your direct messages, your search results and the other Twitter updates via email.
2. TwUnfollow
Sign in with Twitter OAuth, enter and verify your email address, select how often you want to receive notification, then TwUnfollow will notify you when you are unfollowed by your followers via email. You can delete your TwUnfollow account any time.
3. Who.unfollowed.me
Just submit your Twitter username to who.unfollowed.me, then if any Tweeps have unfollowed you, you will see who they are. You can also track any other Twitter user’s unfollowers. If your account is set to private, you can get notification by following @whounfollowedme.
4. Unfollowr
Unfollowr lets you track when you are unfollowed and get direct message if someone has stopped following you. What you need to do is just to follow @Unfollowr.
5. GoodbyeBuddy
Follow @goodbyebuddy and visit its website goodbyebuddy.com, input your Twitter username, then it will tell you when you are unfollowed and who unfollows you. By the way, “due to twitter limits”, @goodbyebuddy doesn’t notify you via direct messages anymore.
6. Chirpstats
To use Chirpstats, simply follow @chirpstats on Twitter and then it will message you when you are unfollowed by your followers, but I haven’t received its message yet.
Go to Chirpstats
7. Qwitter
Qwitter is quite simple, you enter your Twitter username and email address, then it will mail you when someone stop following you on Twitter. You can stop Qwitter by click the link in the mail, but it seems not workable well now.
8. TweetEffect
Just imput your Twitter username, then TweetEffect will tell you how many tweeps has unfollowed you after which tweet you have posted. But it won’t tell you who are those tweeps that unfollow you.
9. Lost a Follower
You will finished the registration after inputting your Twitter username, you email address and the CAPTCHA code. And when you are unfollowed, Lost a Follower will send you an email about who unfollow you with your last tweet prior to their leaving. But LostAFollower is currently down for an extended period.

10. TwitDiff
When you are unfollowed by someone, you will get notification via email or RSS feed offered by TwitDiff. But TwitDiff has reached its capacity and can’t afford to accept any new users now.
Among the above 10 ways, I like to use Nutshell Mail, since I have 4 Twitter accounts to track. How about you? How do you track when you are unfollowed on Twitter? Or do you have any other ways? Share with us by adding a comment.
