Have you ever felt tired of receiving Twitter’s email alerts when someone is following you? I have.
Since I do not like to be bored by Twitter alerts, and I also do not like to miss some Twitter users who may be good friends later, I have closed Twitter alerts and automatically followed those tweeps who followed me. Besides, I also automatically follow some Twitter users who tweet the same topics as I do sometimes. Below are the ways how I automatically follow Twitter users:
1. Automatically follow new Twitter users who follow you
Everyday, I will get some new Twitter followers, and I will also follow them back, automatically. The tool I have used to automatically follow those who follow me is Socialoomph, which offers free service and let you automatically follow or unfollow Twitter users.
Just register a new free account on Socialoomph, add Twitter to your social accounts with Twitter OAuth, then you can choose whether to automatically follow the new followers who follow you, or you can vet the new followers and follow them back manually later.
Socialoomph is also good for you to manage multiple Twitter accounts and to schedule your tweets.
2. Automatically follow new Twitter users according to Keywords
When I need some new following, I will check out TwittGeek.
Just sign in with Twitter OAuth, input your keywords, then TwittGeek will find out the target followers and make you follow them, do not close the TwittGeek web page during the following process. For free account, you can automatically follow up to 150 Twitter users per day. By the way, when you sign in TwitterGeek, your Twitter account will post a tweet like below:
TwittGeek – Automatically follow geeks like you on Twitter http://twittgeek.com
Among those 150 new Twitter following, some will follow me back, some will not. And after a certain time, I maybe check out all of my following, and unfollow those who do not follow me back with these free web apps, or unfollow those who haven’t updated their Twitter status for a long time with these free websites.
Have you ever automatically followed Twitter users? If yes, how do you do that? Or do you have any other free ways to automatically follow Twitter users? Share with us by adding a comment.
