Facebook has a tool that does similarly, their ‘advanced search’ (beta 2.0 as of this link :: http://apps.facebook.com/advancedsearch/index.php?engine=1&app_id=2370484070

This is a more in depth tool than the original facebook search listed above

@Jeff Clayton As far as I know, the advanced search app is good to search people, but with some bugs and not able to search posts in real time.

How do I get to that Facebook Search page? The only FB search I seem to have is that little search window that’s at the top of every page — and it only searches FB pages. I need to search my friends’ posts to find a certain phrase or topic.

@Linda As you can see in the image of the post, the Facebook Search is on the left sidebar of the search result page.

@Bella You can search the person directly on the Google+ site, and then visit his or her Posts tab for all the posts he or she shared with you.

QUESTION: Do any of these methods offer an RSS feed of the results? I suppose Google does, but how about the others?

@Jos Schuurmans In fact, none of the websites mentioned in the post offered an RSS feed of the results, but except Facebook, you could generate RSS feeds for the other 5 websites with page2rss.com, but it seems that oneriot & facepinch are down now.
