Top 10 Free Web Apps to Make To-do Lists

In order to get things done and be more productive, we often have to make to-do lists before performance.

We used pens to write down our to-do lists in the old days, but nowadays, we are able to use softwares to do that, and below are the best 10 free web apps which can be used.

1. Remember The Milk

The reminder can be sent by Email, IM, Twitter and Mobile, and there is no limit for mobile SMS reminders. You can update your to-do lists via web, email, google calendar and mobile, but for free accounts, you can not sync the to-do lists to your mobile phones. By the way, although Remember The Milk supports multiple languages, the SMS reminder seems not available for China users.

2. Task.fm

It is easy for you to make a free to-do list through task.fm via the web, email, and twitter, but there is no mobile version or app for task.fm. The reminder can be sent by email or SMS, but only 15 SMS messages are available for free account.

3. Evernote

Not only texts, but also audios and images are able to be added to Evernote as to-do lists. You can add to-do lists to Evernote via the web, mobile apps, email, google notebook, twitter, or even delicious. And the to-do lists can be synced among the web, your phone, and any computer for free. But there is no reminder service and you can’t upload more than 40 MB per month as a free user.

4. Todoist

Totoist Sidebar firefox add-on is easy for you to add to-do lists including current page url, and the Delegate to Todolist firefox add-on allow you to add emails to Todoist for later reply. You can access Todoist by your mobile phone, and add new to-do lists, but you can’t change the exist to-do lists. All the reminder services are only available for premium users.

5. Notely

There is no reminder service offered by Notely, but you can track or update your to-do lists easily since there is a mobile version. Although Notely offered multiple languages services, but they are only available for web-based version, and only English is available for mobile version.

6. Twit2do

You login Twit2do with twitter ID and make your to-do lists, or you can create a to-do list via Twitter by sending a message to @twit2do, which means that all your to-do lists will be seen by your twitter followers. By the way, you can submit your to-do lists via RSS Feed, but all the people can do so if they know the URL. I doubt that why Twit2do not allow create a to-do list via DM twit2do.

7. Google Calendar

Google Calendar is a nice choice to make to-do lists when you are at computer and like to schedule your daily life in detail. Athough it is still not able to update your calendar via mobile, SMS reminder is available and is free and no limit.

8. Producteev

Producteev is created for a team work, but it is ok for you to make to-do lists. You can make a to-do list via email, IM, Twitter and so on, by which the reminders can be sent to you, too, but the mobile SMS is only available for ATT clients.

9. Toodledo

You can add multiple tasks at a time, or import your to-do lists via csv, xml, text and palm PDA. It is possible to update your to-do lists via the web, your mobile, email, twitter and so on. And there is an app for iPhone users. You can share the to-do lists with the whole world if you like. The reminders can be sent by email or SMS.

10. Ta-da List

It is easy to add a to-do list via Ta-da List, which allows you to share the to-do list via RSS Feed or Email. That’s all what Ta-da List will do.

As for me, I use Google Calendar to make a planning schedule, and use Evernote to make a to-do list which just comes out to the mind, how about you?
