Mobile Search Engine PK: Google vs Taptu

Taptu is a mobile search engine, which offers you the mobile-friendly search results. Since Google is such a powerful company, and it also offers mobile search service, I have to ask why I should use Taptu?

Well, let’s compare Taptu with Google, and find out which one is better for mobile search.

Round 1. Mobile App

Google offers Google Mobile App for nearly all kinds of mobile phones, but Taptu only offers an app for iPhone.

Besides, Google Mobile App supports voice search, but Taptu iPhone app doesn’t.

Round 2. Web App

Both mobile search engines are easily to access, you just need to input their website URLs in the address bar of any mobile phone.

Round 3. Search Results

For the same item, Google will offer more search results than Taptu, and Taptu only offers the mobile-friendly search results, but Google offers both mobile-friendly and not mobile-friendly search results.

Round 4. Downloading

You are able to download the result images from Taptu directly, but you are not able to do that from Google.

Round 5. Sharing

Google mobile search only offers you the search results, but Taptu also makes it easy for you to share the search results via SMS, Email or even Twitter.

So, we can see that Taptu at least offers two cool services that Google dose not, they are to share the result pages easily, and to download the result images directly.

By the way, since Taptu allows to share the result page via SMS, I tried to use it to send free SMS, but failed since you were only allowed to input 15 characters in the Enter your name column.
