Among the 10 websites which are able to send free SMS online, none of them is able to send SMS to China. That’s why our reader Neo said that it was a pity.
Although China is the world’s largest mobile market with the most cellphone users, only a few web apps offer the free SMS service for China. Among those few web apps, Cloud SMS is a nice one to send free SMS to China as well as the last world, and Mjoy is another nice one.
Cloud SMS is a PC browser-based website, but Mjoy is a mobile browser-based website, which means you can only send free SMS from your mobile browsers.
Let’s have a look at Mjoy’s Free SMS service.
Before using the free SMS service, you have to register first, you can register Mjoy either from the computer or from your mobile phone, but you can only sign in from your mobile phone, or from your PC with some software like MicroEmulator.
After sign in, you will see the home page like this:
Up till now, there are Chinese, English, French, and the other 9 languages for your choice, and you can send out free SMS with different languages too, but it seems that only SMS in English can be displayed correct in the cellphone, since all the words in Chinese will be turned to be “?” when they arrive the mobile phone. This is really not good for a Chinese who want to use Mjoy. ![]()
Besides sending free SMS, there are some other things you can do with Mjoy, such as check out the weather of any city, chat with Mjoy users, use the phone book, and do on. But I failed to add any contact to the phone book, no matter what I do, it is empty.
The message will be sent out with a link back to Mjoy’s website, NO ads. The sending number will be 0045-6099-3002-2841, and your phone number won’t be showed.
But anyway, Mjoy serves for China as well as the last world, and what is more, you are able to send free SMS from your mobile phone.
