Share Your Location with A Short URL by Xm.my

It is amazing to embed the Google Map into your blog post, but it is disappointed to link to the Google Map, since the page URL is too long.

Xm.my is born to cure the disappointment. :-) The short URL created by xm.my will look like this:

http://xm.my/Qert

And the map page will look like this:

xm.my

There are only two steps to create the map with a short URL:

Firstly, choose your location.

You can search with different languages, and you will get the right location if you search for a big city, such as Guangzhou. But if you search for a specific place, such as Nansha Tianhou Palace, there may be no result found. Then you may drag the map marker to the location, or allow xm.my to detect your current location, but the detected location may be far way from the actual location, though they are in the same city.

Secondly, choose your location.

When you find the location, you are able to name and describe the location.

Thirdly, you are done.

When the map is saved, a short URL for the location will be created.

Extraordinarily, add flickr photos.

You can add your flickr photos to the map by adding a tag to the photos.

After the map is settled, you can share it directly to Twitter, Facebook and Delicious. Besides, you can also see the nearby places or airports created by other users.

By the way, no register is needed, but I think it will be cooler if xm.my will add Get Directions function to the map.
