Below are 10 popular websites for you to find a lot of freelance jobs with different topics, such as marketing, programming, designing, and so on. Although some of them offer both free and paid services, you can register and bid for free.

The are thousands of jobs on the Freelancer website, you can choose and bid on marketing, programming, writing or any other freelance jobs you are good at.

As a freelancer with free account, you can bid for free, and you need to pay 10% or $5 (whichever is greater) of the total funds received. You can receive your payments via PayPal, Wire Transfer, Moneybookers and debit cards.

2. oDesk

The oDesk website offers thousands of freelance jobs with different skills for you to choose and bid.

Both registration and bid are free, no commission, but the employer has to pay 10% of the total bid as oDesk fee. You can receive payments via Payoneer Debit Card, Moneybookers, PayPal, Direct Deposit/ACH, and Wire Transfer.

After registration, you need to pass Elance admission test with 20 questions, to verify your phone number, and to verify your country.

    Nice list! There are a lot of freelancing sites out there, but I personally stuck with oDesk because that is where I find the best staff (I hire people on these sites).

    Surprised that didn’t make the list, I think it is in the top 5 biggest freelance marketplaces.

    @Thomas Sinfield You must be good at dealing with freelance jobs. Regarding the, I did review it before, but dropped for below two reasons:

    1. Its PR is only 3;

    2. I did not like its design, including its long homepage url.

    Young, that is a fair call! I am not a fan of the design either (and find the actual working of the website a bit clunky). Nice review of the others I might add!

    You might consider Examiner as well, they publish freelance openings thru Career Builder. It is pay per click but it is still helpful.

    Have you checked out this is another site for work from home job,it is similar to oDesk but for full time work only.They have lots of opportunity for freelance workers.
