Type Any Language Online Free With Google Input Tools

Looking for a simple, stable and significant VPS as your web hosting? Check out DigitalOcean, only $5 per month, and you can get $10 in credit just for signing up now.

To type Chinese, French, Japanese or any other languages online free, you can check out Branah, Google Translate, Lexilogos or some other virtual keyboards as mentioned before.

The following will show you a better one — Google Input Tools, which is a free Chrome extension for you to type over 80 languages via virtual keyboards, IMEs (Input Method Editors) and handwriting input tools.

Google Input Tools

After installation, you can see the extension icon in the Chrome Toolbar, left-click or right-click on the icon, you can open the "Options" page in a new tab, choose your favorite virtual keyboard, IME or handwriting for your language from the left column, and click the black arrow to add it to the right column, then you can start to type your language via the input tool you chose on any text box of any web page (excluding the address bar, Chrome Web Store, other Chrome extensions and Flash applications).

And of course, you can also remove the virtual keyboards, IMEs or handwriting input tools by moving them back to the left column, as well as adjust the orders of the selected ones, but whether to add, to remove, or to adjust, which can be only done one by one at a time.

By the way, the Google Input Tools extension is inactive as default until you select one input tool.

In fact, besides Chrome, Google Input Tools is also available for Android devices and Windows, what is more, you can also use it directly in Google Search, Gmail, Drive and Translate, but with less virtual keyboards, IMEs and/or handwriting input tools.
