Bitly is famous for its short URL service, which is also the default service used by Twitter. And now, Bitly has just launched a new service Bitly.tv.
All the videos on Bitly.tv are generated according to the tweets with Bitly short URLs, and the tweets are counted by BackType, you can see how many tweets linked to the videos when you watch them. But I have no idea how many tweets there should be when a video is treated as popular and showed on Bitly.tv.
All the videos are sorted by now, last day and last two days. When you open Bitly.tv, you will see what videos are hot on Twitter now. There are 25 videos displayed on every page. When you click one of those videos, you will see a page like this:
You can watch the video on Bitly.tv directly, you can see how many people have tweeted the video, and you can also share the video to your friends via Twitter, Facebook or Email.
When you share the video on Twitter or Facebook, you will be redirected to Twitter or Facebook website, and you have to go back to Bitly.tv if you want to watch other videos. I think this process sucks.
