Foursquarefox and are both excellent Firefox add-ons for you to update Foursquare.

But if you don’t use Firefox, or don’t want to install the add-ons in your browser, you can check out below two web-based applications, which allow you to update Foursquare both from your computer and mobile phone.

1. Foursquare Mobile Site

foursquare mobile

We can’t check in on the Foursquare website, but we can check in on its mobile site.

Enter and search the venue name in your city, then you will see a list of venues with the name in or near your city, you can select the right one and check in. If the venue is not in the list, you can add it to the list or check in whatever.

Besides check-in, you can also shout, find friends, view badges and do some other things just as that you can do on the Foursquare website.

Again, the Foursquare mobile site is also available for you to use on computer browsers.

2. Cotchin! Mobile Site

The Cotchin! mobile site is a powerful FourSquare app with many functions, such as check-in, shouting, searching and some others.

The Cotchin! mobile site is mainly developed for Nokia N900 users, and you may be not able to check in or search from it with other mobile phones, but the other functions are workable at least for Blackberry with Opera Mini browser.

By the way, you can use the Cotchin! mobile site or/and computer website with Firefox or Chrome browsers from your computer.

Without Nokia N900, I prefer to use Foursquare mobile site with my Blackberry, how about you? Which one is your favorite? Or do you have any other mobile site for Foursquare? Share with us by adding a comment.
